What is the recommended format for US delivery addresses?

Per USPS specifications, US addresses should contain 3 to 5 lines, using the following structure: Name, Address 1, Address 2 (if applicable), City, State, and ZIP Code.

How do I know when my documents have been mailed?

Yes. You may upload a flyer, notice, announcement, coupon, or advertisement in PDF, PNG, JPEG, or JPG format. The insert will be printed on 8.5" x 11" paper and will be inserted as the last page(s) in each envelope.

Can I add an insert?

Yes. You may upload a flyer, notice, announcement, coupon, or advertisement in PDF, PNG, JPEG, or JPG format. The insert will appear as the last page(s) in each envelope.

What if I want to send a special insert with my invoice?

You may upload colored or black‑and‑white 8.5" x 11" inserts, single‑sided or double‑sided. Pricing starts at $0.13per page for black printing, or you may include color printing for an additional $0.09 per page. Oversized mail fees apply when an envelope contains more than eight sheets.

How do I know mail has been delivered and cleared USPS verification?

DocuSend electronically verifies all USPS transactions, applies Intelligent Mail barcodes, performs NCOA checks, and tracks clearance through USPS Verification Units. Processing and verification occur extremely quickly.

What is the recommended format for foreign delivery addresses?

A proper foreign address must include: Name; Address 1; Address 2 (if applicable); City, province, state, or county, and postal code; and the full country name spelled out on the last line.

Can I use DocuSend to send mail from a foreign country into the USA?

Yes. DocuSend prints and mails documents inside the USA, bypassing international postal customs delays and providing faster, more cost‑effective delivery.

Can I use DocuSend to send mail from the USA to foreign countries?

Yes. You must have a valid foreign address with no more than five lines. Foreign mail is limited to one ounce (4 sheets), or up to 8 pages if duplex printing is selected.

How long after my file is uploaded are my documents processed?

Documents are mailed within two business days after upload, approval, and payment. For next‑day delivery to the USPS, select the "Guaranteed Next Day Mail" option.

Are invoices mailed on the weekend?

No. DocuSend mails Monday through Friday, excluding postal holidays.

How can I control my mailing dates?

Upload files two business days before your desired mailing date, or one business day prior when using the Guaranteed Next Day Mail option. Files uploaded Friday or weekends are processed the following week.

Can invoices be printed on colored paper or inserted into colored envelopes?

Standard printing uses white paper and white window envelopes. You can choose color printing to add color to your documents. For custom colors, contact DocuSend support for a tailored quote.

How do I reprint a document for a customer?

Search the Image Bank, open the document, and use the print option to print locally, save as PDF, email it, or resend through DocuSend.

Can DocuSend handle multipage documents?

Yes. DocuSend can insert up to 65 sheets (or 130 pages with duplex) per envelope, as long as pages are sequential and addressed to the same recipient.

When are my documents posted in the DocuSend Portal?

Once they've been processed and delivered to the USPS, your documents are posted to the portal. For First Class and Marketing mail, you can track the delivery status in your portal with our free Mail Trail service. Oversized documents are not tracked.
